SZFE. A university that has stood in the heart of Budapest for more than 150 years. A cult place of education that was the first and most important step in the professional lives of countless Hungarian theatre and film artists. A building whose walls can tell stories about the legendary work of young artists. About passion, about sweat, about beating hearts, about pride, belonging, about stormy despair. About decision-making rights. About security. About freedom of education and freedom of expression... And recently also about a giant rat that has eaten everything: students. Lecturers. Including their resistance.
It is over. It's been choked down. Long live animal greed. Revolution, university blockade, democratic rights are now being absorbed in a huge gastrointestinal tract. But there is still hope. Someday, somewhere, maybe everything will be pooped out again.’
