CONCEPT, PUPPET CONSTRUCTION, PERFORMANCE: Helga Lázár
CHOREOGRAPHY: Domokos Kovács
MUSIC: David Schuckart
GENRE:Puppet theatre with elements of physical theatre
PREMIERE: 2019, Három Holló, Budapest
A solo performance in which the interaction between the performer and a self-built, life-size puppet explores relationship dynamics, dependency, and the hierarchy between body and object within a playful, intimate, and physically negotiated visual space.
“He hangs in the middle of my room. I built him myself. We wake up, we fall asleep, the shadow of his cross draws a frame above my bed. He is my monument, my golem, my totem, he is my man, my father, my brother – I pull on him, I let him go. He is rock solid. He is unshakeable. He is an immovable pendulum. It is uplifting to be bound together with him.”
